MAX MCGEE'S PROFILE
I CAN'T NOT MAKE GAMES.
I have enough lockerspace to hold an episode of Friends.
"We'll make a toast to absent friends and better days,
To remembering and being remembered as brave
And not as a bunch of whining jerks!
Don't lose your nerve.
Do not go straight
You must testify
(or I'm going to come to your house and punch you in the mouth)
cause CLOWNS MUST STAND."

Assisted Suicide
While we cannot prevent someone from commiting suicide (hard to punish the dead)
But not impossible! I can think of a few things, for starters...
The weird things you do
I became like that after playing McGees games...
lol. I do this (saving ALL THE GOD DAMN TIME) even more when (test)playing my games too, but I mean, you basically HAVE to create a million slaves when test-playing, right?

Would You Rather?
Now that Jack Thompson is already disbarred, I'll take the money, please.
Would your rather have to play every single Laxius Power game in its entirety from start to finish with no breaks (not even bathroom breaks, you'd be catheterized and have a bed pan) or just die?

The CTRL+V Topic.
When I pressed CTL + V something so amazingly smutty and filthy (and it was text, mind you, text!) appeared that I could not at all share it with you. It was OUTRIGHT PORNOGRAPHY, not even the silly kind. Thank GOD my dad or brother did not for whatever reason click CTL + V on this computer with that copied. I'd be mortified. In fact, I am CTRL + Cing this text just to make sure that is not what comes out when I press CTRL + V.
What are you thinking about right now?
THE FACT THAT MORE PEOPLE SHOULD POST IN GAME DISCUSSION AND GAME DESIGN. I mean really, games, reviews, tutorials, articles, whatever or just discuss games and their design! Those forums have been REALLY DEAD in the last week and a half or so in spite of being pleasantly active for the first month or so I was here. I could (will) try to fix this but obviously can't do so all on my own.
Sorry, I know that wasn't a moronic stuff post at all, I just didn't know where else to put it and it IS what I'm thinking about right now.

Ika in vista
As I told WIP in IRC I am unfortunately experiencing a similar (the same?) problem running IKA in Vista. I hate that for now ika games are these apparently awesome things that I am not ever allowed to fucking touch at all.

Kenton: Good use of airship!
Today,~8:15-11:30:
Created a system to teach you a new Out of Class spell at the end of each Act/major boss fight in Mage Duel, and then, because I had deleted my save games because I wanted the demo to ship without any, I had to make a new character and play through the entirety of Mage Duel to properly test it, eating almost two hours of development time. D'oh! The system itself seems to be functional, though.
After that I created but did not test the transitional cutscene (a fascinating dialog between you and Rast with several conversation options) that tkaes place between the gameplay of Act I and Act II. Maybe tomorrow I will actually get around to what I intended to do today, which is to say make sure that the Arena in Act II looks different than it did in Act I; update NPCs in the underworks and change the background Audience and panning for the actual arena itself.
Total Time Working (So Far): 3+ Hours

[Demo] MAGE DUEL
Okay, so, I am refining character development (in the NUMBERS sense) a little.
Basically, for each Act you complete (i.e. major boss you beat; in Act III you will actually get this bonus from the mini-boss since the boss of Act III is the last boss of the game and getting more powerful after the game's last boss would be silly!) you learn an additional Out of Class skill from any of the other disciplines.
So you learn Class Skills by leveling up and you learn Out of Class skills by advancing the main story and finish acts. Simple enough, right?
Construction of Gameplay for ACT II is underway! PHOT-O-GRAPH-IC EVIDENCE!

He is not lying.

A full-fledged cutscene, which Mage Duel doesn't have very many of. They are short in length but broad and deep, featuring branching dialogue options and different reactions based on gender.

Roleplaying system continues to evolve; the Player is allowed to declare his mage's own motivation for dueling!

The times, they are a'changin. Act I was easy mode. Act II gets significantly harder, in several ways.

NPCs and their dialog have all changed for Act II.

Every merchant has tons of new items! These items have script-enabled custom properties! Joy!

For Craze! This proved to be an immensely challenging and enjoyable fight, for my Evoker/Conjurer, not that you can tell that from this screenshot.
